Tinnitus Cured with Camomile Tea?

Tasted like sh*te... not sure if it did any good!

I think I'll save enjoying another cup until a loud T day and see if it makes a difference as my T disappeared at about 11am this morning and it's not been there since... ( it'll be there again tonight tho :cautious: )

@click... I know this sounds terrible but I'm jealous of you, I want silence too even if its for only a couple of hours , has your T always come and gone right from the start? and if so how long do you get peace for?

Hi Jade,

I know I should be grateful. I'm sitting in total silence right now and it's been gone since late morning. It's totally gone and I can think straight.. I can work - it's brilliant. (Which is why I'm still working at midnight :()

But... on Saturday it screeched all day and all night. Then yesterday, even though the T was really low, my head felt as though I'd been kicked by a horse. And now today - it's gone.

Every time it comes back it's almost like it was at the beginning - but without so much anxiety.

With this type of T it's pretty impossible to habituate / get used to it. It varies so much. I've had a few days when the volume has stayed the same and I've begun to think that I could manage... I could eventually ignore it perhaps... but then wham.. it either goes away or screeches! Acceptance of something that changes so radically is hard.

It's been variable from the start but it goes away for longer periods now. And my T seems to be different from the norm. It isn't affected by stress or lack of sleep which seem to be two things that affect most people's T.

Mustn't moan though  - I am lucky. I'm also gradually working out what makes the volume go up - sometimes it's so complex that I just want to stop analysing everything but eliminating some foods really works for me... so it's worth it.

Wish I could give you some of the silence - it's just not fair eh? I think your attitude is brilliant tho so try to stay positive :)

Instead of tea and herbs I think neuroscience surgeons should offer their service on a demo trial contract, in an honest attempt in solving the T mystery. Brainwave activity, audiological cortex, inner hair cells, cochlea etc. This must be the force behind the aim of solving the T mystery for us all. There must be some dying people wanting to donate their dead bodies to medical science and T for instance. Surgery needs to be done inside anatomic sections which is dangerous to preform on living people. Scientists and surgeons must work together in the brain lap that dominates as producer of the tinnitus and Hyperacusis. Cut in, remove brain samples and do the same with the inner ear. They need to get down and dirty! And also get visual references of these organs and how they respond in a T patient. Visual references is important, there's been so many wild speculations based on very thin theory. So many wrong diagnosis and even more wrongly reports telling the patients of hearing loss while in reality they never had any hearing loss. Surgeons needs to attach T with the same accuracy as they approach cancer.

I saw this at another forum and wanted to share it with all of you. Not sure if it is true but the OP seems to make his T go away by drinking Camomile Tea.

Thanks for the tip Alxtan. While we wait for a more accurate medical cure it seems like almost everything is worth trying. T seems so extremely unpredictable, so I guess we need to be open for a solution or relief in any source.

I've been drinking 3 cups a day since I saw the post and it has not done anything for my T. It makes me relaxed though. :)

Only problem with operating on dead people in search of a cure for tinnitus is, since they are dead, they can't tell you if their tinnitus has improved by the surgery (ducks):asshat:
