I have had tinnitus caused by acoustic trauma since 2019, but it had become manageable, and I had almost forgotten about it. However, after taking just one tablet of Rifaximin, I experienced extreme ear pain in the first few days, and my tinnitus drastically increased.
I also have a strange sensation of silence in the mornings—could this be hearing loss? According to my tests, I don't have any hearing loss, but I'm struggling to understand what's happening.
I really need support and help because I can't find much information about tinnitus triggered by antibiotics. Will it get better with time? Will the tinnitus decrease? Do you think my second habituation will happen more quickly?
I feel like I'm in a very dark place again.
