Hello everyone . I now almost 7 months T and it goes better than the first few months but there are still many moments that I need to think about it. That i cant keep my mind of it.

I hear a sound like if the gas is on. Somehtimes a siss and when i wake up i also hear the wind. In the monings the sound is louder. When i am working i hear it most of the time. But when i am free the sounds goes away when the day passes on. Don't know why that is.

I keep doing the thins that i love. Go to my horse and when i am with him i dont hear it. When i am driving my car i dont hear it. When i take a shower i dont hear it and also when i put on the tap i dont hear it.

But i am still have
anxiety that it could come worse in time.

The ent notice a hearingloss of 20 db but my doc told me that its normal for my age (42). I can eat what i want, the sound does nog goes up. Whan I am stressed the sound sometimes goes up.

Also what is very strange is that if i am walking the sound goes to the beat how a walk. When i turn my head the sound will be louder but when i place my jaw down it is lower.
Do you recognize this?

will I be able to get used to it?

Sorry for my bad english.

Greets Sandra

I really hope so. There are times that i really dont care about it but suddenly i can not let it go. Its always on my mind. How long does it take that you wil get ussed to it or accept it?

Hi Sandra, we 'know' eachother by personal messages and now I read your question here in Support Forum. I am just like you... the question 'will i get used to it' is also my question. Almost 6 month's with T now.
Every week 1 silence day... that's nice, but i can never use to it in that way. You can get use to a ticking clock when it's always ticking... because your brain does not notice it anymore after a while.
But when the clock stops ticking sometimes.... there is that beautiful silence. But the next day the clock will be ticking again... so you have to get used to it again, because the sound is 'new' for the brain/ears.

Don't get me wrong... i am sooooo glad to have a silence day ones a week...

But i am just asking like Sandra... will I ever get used to it?

Hi @sandra72,
My T is like yours. When I shake my head very fast from left to right I hear a low bell tinkling. When i'm walking or running also.
Anyone know the cause?

I get this my audiologist said its normal with tinnitus. I get popping while I walk. Also bell chimes when I shake my head. Jaw problems can be the result of this too but not sure till I see my jaw results next week.

My osteopath told my that mine jaw is not good. When i open my mouth my jaw goes to the right and then back to the left. When open my mouth with open the T is more silent or gone. I began to think about it. In begin april i went to the dentist and my T started in begin May.

If your T really gets better with open mouth then it might be a TMJ problem (the joint which holds the jaw).
Here I have seen people with this and when they got it treated their T was usually gone or very quiet.
I don't know how they treat TMJ problems, but now at least you have an idea of the cause.
