Hello dear TT community,

That said, I'm presently in graduate school starting the initial stages of a potential thesis project.

I need to speak with (at least) two of our community who have chronic tinnitus from acoustic trauma. Would anyone be willing to speak with me this weekend over a video chat?

I'm hoping to learn more deeply how I might do positive work for our community to make things a little better and the first step is learning :)

Some of you may have seen bits of research (requests for interviews and surveys) floating around on TT. I got tinnitus in 2013 from acoustic trauma and have since been trying to take little steps to not only heal myself but to help others to have a better life with tinnitus and, hopefully, to help stop others from avoiding this one kind of tinnitus that is sometimes avoidable (mine would have been).

Please know that I care about everyone with tinnitus, I just am not a doctor or scientist so I know that I can't do much for cures or treatment, but I can hopefully one day affect laws in my own country that allow for such loud sound in our public spaces without issuing any warning.

Thank you all in advance!

Hello TT - just giving this a bump - any other one person out there who has noise induced T who would be willing to speak with me for 15 minutes or so? It's all completely confidential, I won't be sharing anything but broad findings with anyone and no names or personal details.

Thank you! <3

Thank you for the support @linearb <3

I could also talk to anyone who maybe didn't have T cause by acoustic trauma but is concerned about loud noise in public spaces - anyone fitting that category willing to have a short chat?

Thank you so much!
