Tinnitus from Call Center Jobs -> Stressed Brain from Constant Loud Sounds Projected Directly onto Both Eardrums

Hi, I'm Mars, 55 years old, living in the Netherlands. Since 2007, I have been working in various call centers, spending eight hours a day listening to customer calls through a headset—sometimes handling up to 120 calls daily.

I suspect that my tinnitus may have started because of this work and worsened significantly over the years due to the long hours—eight hours a day, five days a week.

Does anyone else have similar experiences? I would love to hear your thoughts.

Yes, I don't work in a call center, but my job often involves listening to people talk endlessly about various topics. It's horrible. After I developed severe tinnitus, I stopped using the headset entirely and haven't touched it since. I strongly recommend you do the same.
