Hi
I have been frequenting indoor gun range and using ear plugs and ear muffs to mask the noise. Last week I stuffed the foam ear plug an it too far and also put some moldeable ear block on top of the ear plug and I immediately felt sharp pain. I think the moldeable plugs pushed the foam plugs too far in.
The next day my ear felt stuffy and full so I assumed it was ear wax compacted by the foam plug. I used some ear wax drops (waxsol) but the next day I woke up I had terrible ringing and the fullness feeling is still there.
Went to the GP yesterday and he said I have an inner ear infection. Gave me some antibiotics which I am now taking.
Not sure how ear plugs can cause an ear infection and how ear drops can cause t.
Do you think the t will subside after the infection? Ear still feels blocked.
Also would it be a good idea to continue going to the range?
