So I had moderate tinnitus in one ear from a lot of earwax. It got syringed (or irrigated?) out and immediately was a bit better, but now 16 hours later it hasn't changed from what it was immediately after. I guess it'd be considered mild now so it wouldn't be a disaster if this was permanent, but it is annoying and I'd be worried about it getting worse with time.

Is it likely it gets any better or is this it? Anyone who's had syringing/irrigation done got any input?

There are some threads, that discuss this very same matter, you are addressing. Some folks, got their tinnitus due to syringing.....

Also, don't worry about the future. Do your best to protect your ears. We don't know what is going to happen and dwelling on things, that have not happened...can increase stress/anxiety and those will for sure annoy the tinnitus...
