Tinnitus from Xanax (Benzo) Withdrawal

I am new to the forum... my tinnitus probably started with the benzo withdrawal.

Dr. Ashton writes that tinnitus is a common symptom of benzo withdrawal.

I am wondering if someone has tinnitus from benzo withdrawal?

Considering benzo withdrawal over excites the CNS, I abstain from nicotine and caffeine. No point in over stimulating the brain when it comes to tinnitus. The mood stabilizer I take for my bipolar also calms the brain thankfully.

I got tinnitus from lorazepam/diazepam. I will wait for it to pass. I will never again get benzos.

I withdrew from a ten year benzo habit (prescribed) equal to 1mg of Xanax. It may temporarily go up, but it's not permanent. Most cases resolve in a few weeks.
