Tinnitus Getting Worse as Hearing Gets Better?

I have been using a hearing app to track my hearing for the past month. My hearing has been improving very slowly while my tinnitus is getting worse. This doesn't seem to make any sense. Anyone have any ideas?

No that's counterintuitive indeed.

It could be that your tinnitus is because of a problem in the brain. So ALTHOUGH YOUR HEARING gets better the tinnitus might get worse. it could be stress making it louder very possible.

also didnt know hearing could improve. what caused your T and HL?

also what app are you using??

When my tinnitus started, I also felt like I couldn't hear well and was dizzy. So, I am pretty sure it is my ear. Those feelings went away but the tinnitus is worse. It is getting more high pitched too. The app just says hearing test.

Ah so, the tinnitus may have been because you have damaged hair cells in the cochlear. The dizzyness may be vestibular hyperacusis, did you have sound sensitivity?

No just regular dizziness. Not in response to sounds
