Tinnitus Getting Worse Over Time?

My articles are available in PDF format which you can print if you have a printer. I can send them to you by email and I advise that you do this. You will absorb the information much better than reading it on a computer screen. You can then take your time and read it slowly. This way you will understand that tinnitus, although stressful for many people at first, does calm down with time and gets better as you habituate.

The anxiety and stress that you feel at the moment is quite normal for people new to tinnitus, but as I've said will go in time. Talk to your doctor about this who may prescribe something to help relax you. As I've said in my articles, it's important to start using sound enrichment at night by using a sound machine by your bedside.

If you want me to send you my articles in PDF then PM me with your email address.

Thank you for your concern and help...
Since i have had this for more than a year and it got much worse, this is the cause for me to feel very stressed and very desperate.
I would appreciate if you could send them by PDF, so I will send you a PM. I constantly cry about this and speak with my mom about it which she is very supportive and obviously would like to help me more... I am so scared that it is going to stay at this level forever... It has become so loud and that is what makes me sadder... knowing that went from a mild annoyance to a constant hell, god damn it T is the worst...

The tinnitus will improve but it's important that you do not use headphones or go to places where there is loud music.

I stopped using headphones a few months ago all together ( when my T appeared I used it but with the sound lower, now im too scared to use them) and I never go out, used to go to the cinema but thats a no go as well... Just hope that by being careful will make this go down and quieter again

I advise you to never use headphones again even at low volume. When your tinnitus reduces still don't use them. Try to go out as it's not good staying at home all the time. I do understand how you feel, but staying at home isn't such a good idea. If you find outside sounds affecting you because your ears are sensitive, then use "noise reducing earplugs" not Foam types. Use noise reducing earplugs temporary try not to overuse them. You need to supply your ears and auditory system with sound, this will help to desensitise your sensitivity to sound. It will take time so be patient.

It is important that you don't sleep in a quiet room, so use a sound machine by your bedside. More about this is explained in my articles which I will send to you. Print them and take your time to read the articles slowly.
