Well I have had tinnitus for over a month and a half now but it has gotten tremendously better then when I first got it.

Sleeping is a breeze no sleeping pills necessary. I still have a tender jaw and my ears stick when I swallow sounds kinda like a rubber band snapping, they also pop when going down an elevator.

And I also have a slight sensitivity to loud nosies but has calmed down a bit since I got it. I went to an ENT he didn't do me any good but then I went as well to an audiologist she said I have 0 hearing damage and that my hearing is phenomenal which made me happy to know I don't have hearing damage but sad because I didn't know how to fix it.

Then I also went back to my family doctor and he said that because I'm still relatively young 19 years old that 90% of the time is should go away and only be temporary considering I don't have hearing damage and that it has gotten better so I'm assuming I just have to hold out for a couple more months until this us completely gone.

btw I might have got this from kick boxing with my brother the pads make a loud noise when you punch and kick them hard but i don't know if that could be the cause considering I got it half an hour after I was done and was sitting down relaxing in a quiet room and he dose it as well but in a louder gym and he also works at a factory kinda makes me mad.

Well thanks for some support you fine people can add to my life and good luck on your end :)

Fingers crossed for you your tinnitus is going away .
Stay positive ....lots of love glynis

@Leo Pappas It is WONDERFUL NEWS that it's going away for you!!! :) :) :)

Now, a word of REAL TRUE YOU'D-BETTER-BELIEVE-IT ADVICE from your ELDER (LOL! :) ):

******* PLEASE DON'T TAKE IT FOR GRANTED!!!!!!!!!*************

--------->>>>> If you got better, AWESOME. And FROM NOW ON ... BE CAUTIOUS WITH YOUR EARS!!!!! PROTECT THEM IN NOISY SITUATIONS!!! PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH ALL THOSE CONCERTS, RAVES, EDM, BARS, LOUD ANYTHING!!!!! Not to avoid life, but USE PLUGS. Protect, protect, protect!!!!!!!!

This forum, which I hope you get to leave shortly, and never have to read all the posts, is FULL of STORIES about people who once got over it, and then exposed themselves to something too loud, and ... IT CAME BACK. Worse. And didn't fade!!!!!

And ONCE you've had this, it is a fact that you are now a person who is known to have a PREDISPOSITION to GETTING this.

So, yes - I am being very dramatic with all the capitals and exclamation points. Because you are a person out there in the world, young, with a good future, and you lucked out this time, and that is AWESOME.

So take that as a HUGE GIFT, and please treat your ears and your body with care, so you can grow into old age, through a long and happy life, WITHOUT a RECURRENCE of tinnitus.

Peace and joy, my friend!!! :) :) :)

Well what ever T I have I only notice it fully when I put ear plugs in my ears in a quiet room like dead silent like all the windows and doors are closed sleeping is not even an issue anymore so I'm really sure its gonna go away considering how good it has gotten. sometimes I will hear it get louder but only for like a few minutes then it calms back down to its almost not even there self :) so I'm happy this is one of those shit happens moments in my life and might as well be for most of the people on this forme . I'm gonna take this as a life experience and use it wisely and warn anyone who might be in danger of this bullshit I had to live with for the past few mouths. :) thanks everyone for the kindness and support not to be rude or anything but I home I don't see you guys and gals on this forme site again lol :)

Hi Leo,

I see you still logged in here recently. I hope this doesn't mean your Tinnitus is still bothering you. How are you doing now?

I used to think that it was going away when the volume and sounds decreased dramatically and some went away after the first 2 months or so.

But things keep changing and going up and down.
It seems about as consistent as my sinus problems that started the same day.
