Cause of Tinnitus
ear surgery acoustic trauma tmj ETD
Hello everybody,

I hear a sound, not permanent, in my right ear for the past 13 days. I saw my doctor and a doctor in the hospital, but not an ENT. They said it's tinnitus and it's caused by an acoustic trauma. I haven't got treatment, just wear hearing protections and take a rest.

I think this noise is the result of my TMJ disorders because it's not permanent and I have a painful jaw. But the day before the beginning of this noise, I made a barbecue, I ate larger pieces of meat (it's not good for my TMJ disorders) and my TV was too loud for 1h20m, I saw France-Belgium and after I had a feeling of hearing strain.

Since today, I have prednisolone and I can return to the hospital to see an ENT or contact my ENT.

What do you think?

@Kritish Gooriah ,
With tmj over stretching your mouth like to bite an apple or chew meat etc can cause more jaw joint inflamation and spike tinnitus and loud tv added to your spike.
It should settle down over 48 hour's so try eat a soft food diet for two days to help inflamation.
I have Tmj also.
love glynis
