Tinnitus in One Ear from Gunshot Incident, Now It's in the Other Ear from Stress or TMJ?

I've had tinnitus since 2021, which I believe started after a gunshot incident. I've also had TMJ issues for years, which I think might be contributing to my tinnitus as well. For a long time, I stopped using my retainers because I was feeling fine, but a few weeks ago, I went through a lot of stress, and now I'm experiencing tinnitus in my other ear. I'm not sure if it's the stress or my TMJ that's causing it, but after getting used to it in one ear, I now feel discomfort in the other.

I've never met anyone else with this condition, and, honestly, getting through each day is really challenging. This is my reality, and with each passing day, it feels harder to cope.

How are you doing? I hope you are feeling a bit better. I too have tinnitus caused by gunshots. Did the tinnitus fade any for you, after your gunshot incident? Or did it stay about the same? Hang in there.
