- Cause of Tinnitus
- Not really sure...Bad ear infection?
Since the beginning of April of this year, my tinnitus has kept on getting worse and worse for absolutely no reason at all.
I went to a doctor, I was given lupin 500 and claritin in case I had an ear infection. Though, it barely helped. And it only got worse onward. Right now my tinnitus reacts to sound a lot more than it used to (reactive tinnitus). And new sounds decided to sneak in. The most silence I get is when I am showering.
My tinnitus has never really gotten better for the past 2 years. When it "spikes" it almost always stays spiked. So I have no choice but to go through the stressful habituation process all over again...
And no, I don't have hearing loss. I can hear perfectly. (I'm very grateful that my hearing is untouched.) I haven't been exposed to damagingly high volume sounds. I do not use headphones at all. And I don't plan on using them a lot any time soon.
My tinnitus played an April fools joke on me. A very mean one. I am worried that it will continue to get worse no matter what I do.
Darn it...
