Cause of Tinnitus
One night in a club
Woke up the past couple of days to my tinnitus louder than ever, 10/10 and I went to the hospital to get checked.

The doctor looked in my ears and the one that is ringing badly he says I have an infection in.

My ENT hadn't checked my ears since about 5 weeks ago, I'm guessing this ear infection has begun from the start and wasn't properly diagnosed?

At start I was told my ear was slightly red but nothing to worry about but the ear is very tender at the moment.

I'm hoping this is good news and my tinnitus will die down once the infection has cleared up.

Would I be right in thinking that?

A cold or infection can bother the ears and possibly make the ringing louder. Your goal is to address the issue and have your ears get better. It can take a bit if time for the ears to get better, hang in there :)

yes you would once hearing input comes back the brain should turn down it's internal compensating volume in weeks to months.

Been doing a bit of coughing and fullness in mouth of I'm guessing fluid it's not mucas. New tablets maybe doing their thing but feel a little nauseous. Not really eating properly that's next thing to address.

Can't wait to this settles down again. I really don't know how people with it 10/10 permanent cope.
