Because I'm a tremendous nerd, I sometimes go to Magic The Gathering tournaments. I also make little bits of side income speculating on cards (it's like an unsecured stock market for people who live in their mom's basements).
Anyway, I listen to a related podcast called Brainstorm Brewery, and recently bribed them with (expensive) beer to do a PSA about tinnitus. I thought they did a decent job; keep in mind this is basically a nerdy comedy podcast, and I think Jason was good at getting across the stuff I thought was important, without downplaying the severity or making light of it, and without too much tangential disinformation (excluding the rant about Children of Men, haha)
This may not be that interesting to anyone, but it's a thing I paid to do so I figure I might as well post it:
That's a link to the start of the PSA, though I think there's a minute or two of fucking around and joking about how many Patreon pitches they have made in the episode before he gets into the meat of it.
The audio sample of tinnitus that shows up at the end, was provided by me, so objections to its accuracy should also be lobbed at me.
I expect the main takeaway from this thread is, "wow, @linearb is even more of a stereotypical nerd than I would have expected, also who spends $14.99 on 4 cans of beer?"
