Christmas is coming, so catalogs are hitting the mailbox. While browsing Hammacher (a general gadget catlogue), I was amused to find a "Tinnitus Wand": http://www.hammacher.com/Product/88273
The reviews on the website itself speak for themselves. Two people said it helped, the majority didn't. I can see how a vibrating wand might take people's mind off their T, but not by using it in the ear area...
"Applied to four points on the outer ear and surrounding bones, the wand's gentle vibration stimulates the auditory nerve while producing a low hum similar to white noise. This sound therapy muffles the clatter of tinnitus and trains the brain to ignore it. The wand tip tucks comfortably into the opening of the ear canal, and the slim device is portable for relief whenever symptoms occur."
