Tinnitus Spiked from Afrin?

I used Afrin last night and almost immediately my tinnitus spiked. It seems a bit louder now the next day. Typing in Afrin and tinnitus in Google gets conflicting results. The first result was that Afrin isn't ototoxic and another links to a study no longer available about 37% of Afrin users reporting it caused tinnitus. Tinnitus is not listed as a side effect on any website I could find.
