Tinnitus Spikes! :(

The previous day was pretty loud...

I get in bed and after 5 minutes the T in my right ear spikes with a different more annoying sound like scrazy, but then goes back down after a few seconds... Although I can tell the spike sound is still there a little! The next morning its not there! and that makes me so relieved... but after a few hours its there a little and being random... (will stop for a few seconds, then continue) I can hear it over things i usually dont hear my T over....


I really hope this goes away

I've had 3 T spikes today, and they have all been different sounds... They've all been in my right ear.
-one was very high pitched (could barely hear but felt it strongly)
-another was just roaring and really there
-and then the last one was also very high pitched

I've also been popping my ears all day, and for the past few weeks, this might effect it?
I'm very scared because some of the spikes have a lowered a lot, but not completely.
Any support/knowledge would be appreciated

You likely have cochlear hydrops, if it gets really bad your endolymph and perelymph fluid chambers can rupture and then you have minieres disease, but right now you have increased pressure in your cochlea causing tinnitus that sounds like a revolving door of searing high pitched Timnitus intrusions. Particularly when it's just your right ear freaking out, that's when you really start to have trouble functioning. A otologist can diagnose you with hydrops and give you medications.

I talked to my mom about it (im 13) and she says I'm overthinking things, but I looked up cochlear hydrops and I seem to actually have most of the symptoms!!!!
Is an ENT the same as an otologist? because I saw one of those a bit ago...
What will the doctor need to do to prove i have cochlear hydrops

It seems an otologist is an ENT, so i saw one a while ago and they said I was fine, but they took no x-rays or anything... is that whats needed to detect cochlear hydrops???

An otologist is an ear nuerologists. And ENT is a genereral practitioner of ear nose throat. ENT's are useless but an otologist can perform an ECOG test which test the pressure inside the cochlea for hydrops.

The odds of you having Hydrops are slim to none, especially at 13. An ENT would be aware of the signs of Hydrops. Spikes seem to be common for people who have tinnitus for any reason. If you are worried speak with a Dr who will be more knowledgeable than anyone here. I think you can relax though. I'm sure it is hard enough at 13 to have to deal with tinnitus without unnecessarily adding to that.
