West End show. Came back 2015 vitamin D overdose prescribed
another weird question from me. I'm battling a major setback of T and H. My T has fallen into a pattern of hissing day which gets louder as the day goes on, followed by a very quiet scary high pitch ring day. I don't do anything different it just alternates, but I'm wondering if the quiet day is a good sign from all the massive loud spike days I've had. Or if the hiss day is a good sign. I guess I need to feel I'm making progress but the quiet day is so peircing I think it's telling me I have a problem. It really scares me as it cuts through me.

Hi noise box,
Tinnitus can swop and change sound and frequency and be daily or parts of the day and can get quiet days if your lucky.
Try not read to much into it as its easier get your head around changes knowing this is sadly what tinnitus does .

Our emotional reaction to the changes effects how we cope with the unexpected new sounds.
Even though tinnitus is hard going and spikes hard too,if you say to yourself it's just my naughty ears at it again and not try justify rhyme or reasson it might be easier .

It is hard with tinnitus and having hyperacusis together and even though we can not control the changes we can learn over time to react in a positive way .
I have known you quite a while now and know you have a tough time and hope you get more better days as your hyperacusis settles....lots of love glynis

Same here. Mornings are somewhat quieter and by 2pm, like clockwork, much louder! Can't figure it out, other than my mind just starts to lose it's grip and turns up the volume.

My T has settled into a horrendous amount of hissing. Mind blowing noise. Debilitating, paralyzing, unmaskable horror!

Glynis I'm completely obsessed I'm afraid. All I know is I don't cope whether hiss or high pitch quiet. I'm broken as I was totally habituated a year ago, in fact I think it was not there most days.

I just wanted to find out if quieter days meant an improvement

Hi noise box,
Quieter days are defiantly an improvement for you and hope a start of habituation again.I really hope it is for you so try stay positive as its a good sign.....lots of love glynis

That's weird. Mine does the same. If my T starts out loud, it stays that way all day long. But I've noticed that even though it might start out mild some days, somewhere between 2:00 and 3:00 - bam! - the volume goes way up. I can be working on something and be very focused, with the T doing its thing in the background, and all of a sudden the volume jumps, like someone turned the dial to high. Then it freakin' stays at that level the rest of the day and night. :banghead:
