a variant of meniers maybe, and or anxiety
A maxillofacial dental surgeon is going to do a scope surgery this summer. He said he will go in to see what's going on, clean out my jaw joint and put a steroid in it.

I wonder if this will help unplug my ear drum and the buzz I hear. I pray and hope so as a buzz sound has been driving me over the edge since Sept 2017 with bad anxiety (being treated). I had the plugged drum feeling and sound distortion for about 10yrs with fluctuating hearing especially in my right ear.

What a difficult time it has been.

Really sorry to hear it didn't help. How are you doing otherwise? Have you found it any easier to deal with?

Thank you for asking. It has been hard but it is a little easier now. I still hope it will stop someday soon. I know some people that had tinnitus and it stopped. How about you, have you tried anything that helped?

Hi @aberob, other than the tinnitus not get better, did the scope surgery help your jaw issues at all? Did you have any ear fullness?

@aberob Thank you. My oral surgeon thinks I need this surgery, but I haven't moved forward with it yet and am going the PT route. The ear symptoms are the worst.
