Cause of Tinnitus
Not sure
So I don't want to go in detail on my entire situation. But to make it short, I've had tinnitus on and off for 2 years exactly soon. In recent times I've been feeling really well, the t isn't even there, only notice it at night when I'm about to sleep, and even then it doesn't bother me (unless I'm stressed).

Yesterday I took a shower, after the shower I cleaned my ears gently with a cotton tip as I always do. But after the shower I noticed this low, still somewhat high-pitched eeeeeeeee coming out of my right ear.

My situation has been GREAT for almost a year now.....and then this happens.

What happened? Did I push wax further into the ear, did I damage anything? (unlikely since I am very gentle when cleaning ears... but who knows).

hugs

You really shouldn't clean your ears with cotton buds - there's no need for it. You only risk pushing the wax further in. The ear has a process of pushing the wax out itself, it just takes time. If you want to do anything, use oil to loosen it up.

If only that were the case with my ears!

wax never comes out on it's own and even with oil it just delays the inevitable blockage's. when i do find a solution that seems to work well, it may be ear toxic, even putting in drops every second week with oil has not stopped my left ear from filling up with wax after 3 months. oh well

I put a match stick in my ear to clean my wax (not deep in ear) and that was the start of my troubles. Cotton buds is probably worse and doesn't get the wax out either.
