Cause of Tinnitus
Don`t know
Dear Friends,

I hope you could assist me with few questions I have based on your experience.

Basically I wanted to get invisalign/ceramic braces cause I wanted to straighten my teeth and get a "perfect smile" in a way. Long story short - went to orto's office and they did an xray on me to make sure all is good and beside few very minor things doc said that I gotta see dentist and oral surgeon because bone where i already have tooth implant is "fading" away. As far as I understand if for some reason implant won't integrate properly with bone - body will think that you don't have tooth there, therefore not much bone needed at gum/pre-gum level and will thin out.

Most likely they will remove it and perform bone grafting to grow it.

I looked up on youtube how whole thing is done and - sh*t it does not look good.

Personally I don't care about pain itself so much, just about of drilling it may take and I don't want my tinnitus get worse because of this procedure.

Any suggestions you folks may have in this regards ? I dunno if i should use earplugs in this situation (actually foam earplugs should help).

I will make sure to tell that that I have T and they better ease off on drilling since i might come back and burn their office if I get a spike, lol. Also, anesthesia they use is local, so it should just numb area which is going to be worked on, not knocking me out. Do you folks know if there is "local" anesthesia that is "tinnitus" safe ?

I hate to be negative, but if you search this site, you will find a number of horror stories about T spiking following dental procedures.....
