Has anyone tried Tranquil Ear? I found it on Amazon and read all the reviews. Seems that some at least felt a relief in the volume. If you've tried it, for better or worse, I'd love to hear from you.

Hi @Vivienne - Welcome to the Forum. I am not familiar with "Tranquil Ear" but I will definitely check it out tomorrow since you have piqued my curiosity. I gather you have not yet tried it and want to see if any of the members here have.

You don't say much about your tinnitus so have you had it for a long while? Please feel free to describe your tinnitus if you wish since we are here to listen and help should you need it. Best wishes.

Thanks for responding. I've only taken one capsule of Tranquil Ear thus far. I'm always scared of a new medication because I get a-fib and anything that affects my heart I try to avoid. Seems that this is pretty safe stuff with mostly vitamins and minerals. I've had tinnitus for over 25 years and I'm 76 years old. My father had it and my brother and sister have it but not as badly as mine. My initial question was asking if it might be hereditary but I got a fast response that showed it wasn't. I stay busy and when I don't think about it it is manageable but if it gets any louder I won't be that lucky. I long for peace and quiet. We live in the country and when we first moved in not a sound could be heard. It was so special. Now I hear loud hissing in both ears. When I'm in a conversation with someone they must speak louder than my head noise. I don't think I've lost any significant hearing. For years it was crickets and cicadas and even door chimes for about a week. It's wonderful to have found this site and if I have any success with Tranquil Ear I will announce it immediately. It's 50¢ a pill and two a day are suggested. I found it on Amazon and bought it after reading reviews of every other so-called remedy (not cure).

Hi again @Vivienne -

I would be interested to see if there is any change in your tinnitus as a result of your taking the Tranquil Ear supplement capsules. I do hope you have success using this and it serves to quiet your T -- at least to some degree - since this would be welcomed. Apparently you have habituated to your tinnitus and managed well considering you have it for 25 years. Needless to say, every tinnitus sufferer longs for peace and quiet for it is a precious gift but we all do the best we can given with what we have to deal. I, too, stay busy and by so doing my T retreats into the background, fortunately.

It must be a wonderful experience living in the country amidst nature; something which always appealed to me given I live in one of the noisiest cities: NYC. In the past, our sojourns to the peaceful country in upstate NY for vacations were lovely.

I checked out Tranquil Ear on Amazon, see 14 people have rated this supplement, given 3 stars out of 5 and given their comments. It also indicates that one should consult a doctor prior to using it.

Well @Vivienne, here's wishing you a pleasant day and please keep us posted.

Best wishes,
Barbara

Barbara, I'm not far from you! I live in Armonk in Westchester County. Once I could "hear a pin drop!" I wish you a pleasant day as well. It's getting very humid. I will keep everyone posted especially if I can rate it even three stars.

Here's to tranquility!

Hello Viviennne,

I would like to know your assessment of the product "Tranquil Ear" - I have tried everything, and I really do mean just about everything. I have had tinnitus since 1996, so it's nothing new. When I was younger, it went into a kind of remission but I still have it to this day - and some days are worse than others.

Did you get any relief from trying "Tranquil Ear"? Also, did you try their night time formula "Tranquil Ear PM" (I think that's what it's called)? The reviews seem mixed but MOST users say "didn't do a thing for me".

You know, it's difficult to say what works and what doesn't work since everyone is different - I take Lipoflavonoid, and I can't honestly say it does anything but when I don't take anything at all, my tinnitus possibly seems worse. The research is at best, anecdotal - would you please let me know how you are doing?

Best,
John

I doubt that it works. The ingredients are Magnesium, Valerian root, Passionflower, Ashwagandha, Taurine, Ginkgo biloba, and GABA. While I haven't tried the product itself, I've tried all these ingredients with no relief.
