When I touch the bottom part of my eye where it meets the eye socket, my TTTS is triggered. This only happens on one ear. Every time I touch that part of the eye, my inner ear twitches and I can feel it. It even makes a "wind sound".

Anyone? Literally anyone? Does anyone have an explanation for this one?

The way I perceive your message - you seem stressed and a bit paranoid. Try not to touch that part. For example, I had my right eye twitch involuntarily for about a month! I thought there was definitely something wrong, but then one day it just went away. Looking back, I'm 90% sure it was stress. Could it be the same for you?

Hi! No actually. I was scratching the bottom part of my eye and I noticed that when i "rub" the bottom part of my right eye, it triggers my "TTTS" in my right ear. In a quiet environment, I can actually hear the muscle inside the ear moving. This does not happen when I do it to the left eye. I am aware this sounds weird but I can literally feel/hear it.

It's been now about a month and and it still does it.

It's not something that bothers me per say but I do find it weird and can potentially explain other symptoms I have in my right ear.

When I touch the left side of my head my left eardrum crackles. I can only suspect that hyperacusis has sensitised the nerves somehow and so we have these strange symptoms.

Is the eye area you speak of part of the Trigeminal Nerve branch? The Trigeminal Nerve goes to your face and also innervates the ear/controls the Tensor Tympani.

That's the only think I can think of.

Some people with Trigeminal Neuralgia have pain triggered by touching their face so perhaps this is a "similar" type of thing except it's setting off the TTTS.

Maybe it has to do with the trigeminal nerve, but there are weird acoustic reflexes for which there is no real explanation.

For instance, when I feel pressure in my ears and scratch my temples, something pops or goes whooosh inside my ears... who knows why...
