Cause of Tinnitus
inflammation allergies
My tinnitus came all of sudden 3 months ago. First it began in right ear, then moved into both ears. I thought I would go crazy.

I did the recommended steroids and allergy meds along with antibiotics. It got a tiny bit better.

Thankfully the left ear is kind of quiet but my right ear is on blast.

Started taking Turmeric and it helps, but I can't stop taking it otherwise I can feel a spike. I take 500 mg a day but I think I may benefit from a higher dose like 1000 mg a day.

Can anyone advise if a higher dose is beneficial?

Yes!

However, it is a blood thinner and there are unwanted side effects from taking blood thinners long term like thinning hair.

So, damned if we do, damned if we don't. :)

I have just purchased some Curcumin (Turmeric's constituent) supplements from Amazon and was wondering the same thing. Going to start off at 2g a day and see how I get on.

Came across this which may be useful:

Out of curiosity how long did it take until you noticed a difference?

I notice the effect within 20 minutes or so. I am taking it with lots of water, right after breakfast, for lack of better ideas. I think it only has has a shortterm effect, but cannot say for certain since I have never paused taking it :)

and it looks like the key to curcumin is taking it with piperine
Even better, fat. Animal fat. Butter, meat. The piperine thing is a joke. I was taking this in very high doses, and if I took it mixed in melted butter, I would turn yellow.

How long did it take to start working? Also, does it still work for your tinnitus?
