Tympanometry Test — Can it affect Hyperacusis or Tinnitus?

Has anyone here had a Tympanometry test done by ENT? I am seeing one today and have no doubt he will want to do one.

Tympanometry is nothing to worry about, it only takes a minute or so and isn't loud, just some popping noises. I think it measures how the middle ear is functioning.

"The sounds heard during the test may be loud. This may be startling. You will need to try very hard to stay calm and not get startled during the test"

As I have Hyperacusis. However others just said, they had it, or know someone who did, no issue and for one it was silent..so I am a little confused.

Tympanometry uses tonal noise, wich gradually increase volume from 50 to 80 or 90 Db. It takes only few seconds. 80-90Db is little bit uncomfortable, but for that short time absolutelly not harmful. It can temporary spike your T for several minutes. I don't like it too, but don't afraid
