Tinnitus Since
4 weeks
My PT suspected the tensed neck muscles to be the cause of my T and ran an ultrasound therapy machine on my neck to relax those muscles. My T fluctuated WAY TOO MUCH while he was moving that machine around my upper neck and neck muscles below ears. He told me its because of the tight muscles. I am tensed that those high frequency waves might have done damage to my cochlea . do you think this might have happened? As you must be knowing that those high frequency waves are beyond human hearing and penetrate deep inside the tissues to vibrate and relax them so is it possible that those ultra high frequency waves might have penetrated in my cochlea through my neck and did some damage in high frequency ? What are your thoughts on this ? I am very tensed and scared that I did more damage in this way. I still have 5 more sittings to go I am anxious

No, I don't.

No.

Well, if you are anxious about it, then perhaps consider therapeutic massage and/or moist heat rather than ultrasound.

Hope this helps.
