For the last four months since I have tinnitus it fluctuates a lot without no apparent reason.

What did you discover with time that makes your tinnitus worse besides the usual suspects: loud noise, headphones, alcohol, antibiotics, coffee, lack of sleep, stress, sports, etc? From this list I can say for certain that only alcohol and lack of sleep seem to increase my tinnitus level every time, 100% no exception. Other than that I get a lot of fluctuations either because I am missing some 'not so well known' offenders or it's unfortunately completely random.

@Michael Leigh thanks for replying. I have read most of your posts in the beginning (I joined the forum just right after getting tinnitus).

I have weeks when tinnitus gets progressively better day by day, can only hear it in the house when the db meter registers about 25-30 dB. Then I just wake up to a bad tinnitus day when I can hear it while outside in heavy traffic... Would you say this is 'normal' without any obvious triggers?

This forum. I'm not sure why I still log on. I guess I'm desperate for a new therapy, since there is no cure.

All that suicidal thought crap just blows my T up! Get a grip people!!!

I don't mean to sound insensitive, but damn!!!

Dairy products.

Some people say that consuming cinnamon makes their T louder.
