Unfair Spike with Extra Tones, Head Vibration and Pain in Right Ear

Tinnitus spiked massively with extra tones and head vibration plus pain in right ear after half an hour of conversation with a washing machine in the background, I left the room because it hurt, then like 20 mins of barely loud tv an hour later which didn't even feel uncomfortable?? How??

I can't avoid every sound forever.... sucks, I was having a good tinnitus day all day and now I can't sleep. Hoping it goes back down.

I can't avoid every sound forever

You just need to avoid moderate noises like that of a blender, hair dryer, and vacuum cleaner. There is a chance that you only need to avoid moderate noises during the first year or two. Hopefully once your body heals, it will be a little more resilient.

I'm trying but it's nigh on impossible in a house with three other people in it I find myself completely banished from the kitchen and living room because there's too much noise.... I just pray to god this is gone by the morning, I'd just about figured out how's to cope with it before. What diesn't Make sense to me is how come I've managed shifts at work in a pub (I've quit now) and shopping trips to town with zero issues before and now this random household noise has left me in pain and with dull hearing in my right ear? It makes no sense

I read others on this forum describe being vulnerable to certain sounds (and not being affected by other sounds)...

I just pray to god this is gone by the morning

There is a very good chance that this will end up being a temporary spike. Keep in mind that temporary spikes can last over a week. They can last months.

I am always so torn as to whether to follow your advice or advice like Michael's which says not to overprotect, I wish I'd followed yours today and left the room when my ears felt uncomfortable rather than trying to stick it out and telling myself 'don't give into hyperacusis'.... guess what G you probably have hyperacusis because your ears are telling you to lay off the noise

I just don't understand because this wasn't noise induced in the first place, or at least not by a specific acoustic trauma, so why the crap is noise affecting me so much? I've had no pain, no deafness, no nothing except the ringing until the past 2 weeks or so when that all started, up till then even loud noises didn't actually cause any issues I was just anxious that they would
