I've had T for a week now and I am feeling worse like there is no way out.I'm not functioning properly. I have two young children and if it wasn't for them I would not be here!
I feel like this is the end of my life.

Tinnitus is a waiting game @Emma36 especially in the early stages. The ear is a very delicate organ and the best treatment for it when someone has tinnitus, is to leave it alone providing there is no underlying medical condition causing it. This usually means: balance problems, dizziness, pain in the ear and so on. Hopefully in time the tinnitus will calm down and go away. This should happen particularly when someone has an ear infection or if it was caused by the otex. You have to leave it to time. Have a word with your doctor about stress or any anxiety and ask for something to relax you. I suggest you read the positivity documents in my article again and refer to them often and also the positivity threads from members in this forum. It is really a matter of waiting and see what happens. Remember to use sound enrichment during the day and night.
Try to make sure you get good sleep. Take medication if necessary. At your stage sleep is the most important thing. After a while the panic will subside and your nervous system will calm down.
