What are some games you can play without sound? As I find stuff with background music annoying, as I still can hear how horrible the music sounds because of my hearing. Preferably something available on xbox 360 (XBox live). But also PC or browser based games would be cool.

Only thing I can think of is minecraft and puzzle games.

If you have Xbone you can play BF1 in my opinion.I have super stupid retarded H but at low volume it's usually bearable without any pain for me.I would just be careful as of course it's a shooter so bombs and crap will be going off constantly but luckily they aren't loud on low volume. My Xbox is louder than what I set my TV too.

Just a 360 and a slow laptop on my end, but any games/systems people find success with can be mentioned for others reading.

I'm also interested in games without sound, because I listen to podcasts while I play the games on mute, since I can still listen to speech at quiet volumes, because it doesnt sound as rubish as music, and the spoken content keeps my mind active and off T, and I can "learn things". I figure I'll enjoy speech while i can hear it, and if that gets too bad, its just reading while hearing ringing for me i guess...

Almost any game can be played without sound unless you need to use a specific audio cue. Subtitles have been the norm in single player games with voice acting since the late 90s.

RPGs like Skyrim and the Fable series don't really need any sound, I also think open-world games like GTA, Fallout, and Read Dead Redemption would be just fine too.

The Assassin's Creed series would also be fine without sound, as would most sports titles and any LEGO series games.

If yo don't care about multiplayer, go for any RTS game like warhammer, civilization etc. Fable is great as an RPG. Racing games can be played without sound %100.

I got myself z623 2.1 system so I could play on low volume and works great for me, however if I wanna bump up - put my custom molded plugs in and I can get a bit more kick from woofer))) don't play or listen to music though

Yeah pretty much any video game, also t.v. shows have Subs these days.
Funny thing i have been getting into south park, i used to watch it most of the time, but decided to give it up for a long time because of an ex of mine, long story short, subs are pretty good.

Yeah racing games are ideal for sure, but I have never got into them that much. What ones do you like? Have you played the GRID or DIRT series ones? I have Civ Revolution, but I haven't taken the time to learn it yet, and it's too confusing to try to learn while listening to podcasts. I also heard its not a great version of civ in general.

Man even mentioning "kick from a woofer" makes me anxious, I won't be going near any of those anytime soon. I play my games on a 19" TV, with the sound muted.

I play csgo with no sounds and im still global :D i only use sounds to talk to my friends :)(I never use headphones anymore)
I aslo play wow heathstone league of legends :) and what ever new game that will come out :)

Burnout Paradise was free this month on xbox live. It is very playable without sound and somewhat amusing (for a video game). It is like an open world racing game, arcade style racing not realistic.

Pretty much all of them. I think it would be quicker to list all the games that absolutely require sound to be played.
And in games where the plot is important, you generally have a setting that lets you display subtitles or not.
Or maybe I don't understand what you are looking for...

Edit: just saw Stewie's post, agree with this

Driving games are particularly good for masking tinnitus, though I agree with those above who have said any game will work (story games with subtitles). In some cases, the roar of the engine around the track isn't much different from a masking ambient noise you might use.

Believe it or not, I've been able to play Pokémon without sound with no trouble at all. Granted, it's better with sound in my opinion, but my general takeaway is still fantastic. I've played Pokémon Moon without sound for a few days and have had no problems.
I hope this helps. :)

Yeah pokemon is a good idea, probably quite a few of the portable RPGs would be ideal without sound as well.

In response to the people who say basically all games can be played without sound because they have subtitles, I guess this is the case, but I just feel like with some games I'm missing out on a lot. Like even stuff like skyrim and fallout, I still feel like I'm missing out without the sound. Whereas driving games, puzzle games, and portable jrpgs don't quite feel as if you're missing out on as much without sound. Obviously games which sound gives you a competitive edge are the best example of games which playing muted is unsatisfying.
