Vote for University of Michigan (Susan Shore) Tinnitus Research — Winner Gets a Write-Up

Thank you Jack! I am sure it could've been better but that's what I could do while being attacked by a stomach virus at the time...hahaha. All better now, thank God!

Are you voting?? I'm watching you too! :watching::wideyed:
Of course I'm voting!!

A little tip for all of us to ensure a final win!

Vote for the other schools that are losing! This means less people are voting for them. When the final round comes we can crush them because they will not have anyone voting anyway.

Sneaky Jack!:sneaky:

Overall, The University of Michigan has the most votes, 10565.
So, yes, I think we can give them a push and help them win.

You nailed it. There are a couple of studies that are pretty comparable if not superior in total votes. If they get eliminated I think we have the leverage here to win it.

By that I mean Utah for instance (who is currently leading their matchup) has less total votes than their competitor. So in this case I would vote for Utah because they don't seem to have a strong backing.

3 Days and 6 hrs to go on Round 8!!!!!

We are on the lead 54% vs 45%!

Let's go people!!!!!!
@JohnAdams why aren't you here? Hello!

I know it's dark... but I'm purposely not voting for the kid one because I know if we go against them, they'll demolish us and make us their bitch.

I must confess, I had the same thought.

Just to make sure that we are voting correctly, I emailed them asking them if we have to vote for all matches in order for our vote to go through.

TBH I'm not a big fan of bimodal stimulation in the face of emerging technology that may actually cure us by reversing the damage to our ears.

I hear you but my perspective is to have as many irons in the fire as possible. I don't think this takes away resources in any meaningful way and it does show some promise, maybe a stopgap for some until a better solution.

Semi finals match up is coming.

Does anyone know whether one can actually vote again or do you just change how you've voted before? :D Because if I click "vote again", the total amount of votes gets reduced by four and once I vote again it obviously adds four votes again, so by voting again I don't seem to add four new votes.

There is something wonky about the total votes tally, I have noticed that too. You can vote every five minutes per the competition rules which comes straight from STAT, so my recommendation is to keep voting. I set a timer on my phone to make sure five minutes has passed, and the vote again icon usually has already popped up.

Everyone better be voting or Santa won't give you presents!
