Hi Dr. Nagler,
I have a much more level headed question for you this time.
The specialist I initially saw after my acoustic trauma completely dismissed me and did not want to follow up. Discussing with my GP doctor, we decided that I'd get an audiogram done then decide about seeing an ENT from there. Well, by the time I have my audiogram it will have been 4 months from my referral and 5 months from the acoustic trauma (and 2 months from now) and I'm getting more and more worried about the state of my left ear. It has recurring fullness, but even when not stuffy it doesn't feel "right". As well the clicking in my ears has persisted for 2 months now.
Are these symptoms enough of a concern that I should talk to my doctor again, or do you think I should stick to the plan we made?
Mostly I'm worried that I'm going to end up being outside the treatment window of whatever is going on in my ear by the time I see the right person.
Thanks!
