It is a shame that many "stem cell" clinics in the US go so far to deceive their patients. Luckily not all of these clinics have such a sketchy reputation. Stem Cell of America for example uses real fetal stem cells and have documented thousands of amazing recoveries.

I think you'd have to either have a screw loose or be very desperate to find reasons to believe that clinics in Thailand, which operate under much less stringent regulations and laws, are more reputable than clinics in the US.

I agree to an extent, but at the same time they don't have the same laws or restrictions for stem cell usage. Are clinics in the US even allowed to use cord blood stem cells? I know for research purposes it's allowed, but is it for private practice?

Embryonic stem cell research in the US was banned for more than a decade under Bush.

Ive learned a few things about stem cell. One bad issue is we are in bad shape, ill, insomniac etc our stem cells are word out. To use these cells may hinder the results. I might go to Tiajuana for umbilical stem cell. I dont know its up in the air its so expensive. Love

Like Thailand is any safer In USA there are is least control over clinics and if people who commit these type of crimes get caught. Thailand and rest of the Asia is like the Wild West. If you die in the clinic they just put you in the dumpster and no one will know about it. Yes clinics in Thailand appear to be very high tech and yes they mostly are. But this is just part of their marketing strategy. What they completely lack is any kind of ethics or lack and patient protection when and if things go wrong.
