Cause of Tinnitus
Ruptured eardrum
Just as I was coming home from work I was feeling really sad and depressed its been 4 months since ringing in my ears. It was cause by listening to loud music. Audiologist said hearing was good. I still hold on hope for it going away. I pray to god everyday.

Can anyone give me some good advice? I have good days and bad days. I'm ocd so it's been 4 months and I still have a hard time dealing with it. I'm always listening for the ringing. If I go out shopping I can't be out for long.

I feel like it's ruining my life. I feel like school should have a class where it teaches us about our body and what things can happen. I guess they don't want to tell us to make money in The long run.

Anyway I see there's a lot of people on here with tinnitus but I don't ever hear people around me mention they have it. I'm 26 and I have a long life to live with this misery.

Hey Betty,

Two things can happen with tinnitus, either it will go away, or you will get used to it. No matter which way it goes it will only get better. Do your best to not focus on it and stay healthy, and you will persevere!

Hey bud it gets better. You have to teach yourself to relax and calm your nerves. It is tough but just you have people on here to support you, like myself. My ringing lowered in just a few months,

Hallo.
I'm excactly in the same sitiation, but my depression and ocd existed much before this fucking tinnitus comes out of nowhere! You're totally right. We are being bombared by info like smoking kills, trans fat harms your heart etc etc and nothing about this serious isuue. Not a single word. I don't know if that is accuratebut you but as far as you have not a hearing damage you have more chances to recover.
My Best Wishes!!

@Konstadinos exactly I've never heard of tinnitus, I've heard of hearing loss. It's crazy how many medications also cause tinitus. Doctors aren't always informative either. I had to research to figure out information. I was prescribed omeprazole for some stomach issues I asked if it would interfere with my tinnitus doctor said no. I got the prescription and looked up side effects and ringing was one of them. I'm glad I didn't take it.

If you avoid smoking, excercisng, and eat helathy you could recover (there are also supplements that help with tinnitus). Good Luck!

@Konstadinos do you really think exercising helps? I'm going to try lipoflavonoid. Thank you so much I need luck at this point. I'll send luck your way as well.
Yes excersice helps blood circulation and thus your cochleas. Ihaven't heard about lipoflanoids, but about magnesium, gigngo biloba and fish oil (epa+dha).

Exercising is THE best.

Natural endorphins, after a 10 km run I feel like I'm on crack, heroin!!!!

Joking aside, exercise releases super powerful, natural and healthy hormones, better than best pills.

@CDNThailand im going to try it but if my tinnitus spikes im not going to work out. I rather not have spikes at all. I'm like obsessed with tinnitus that I haven't been eating much because I think everything will give me a spike.

Well, it does make my t spike, bit its predictable and safe, so I just ignore it.

It's like good medicine(not t meds!), tastes bad, but good for you!
