Well, I went to the gym for the first time in months since onset. I missed it too much plus I gotta fit into a wedding dress  anyways, I didn't have headphones on and I just listened to the music that was playing in the gym ( not bad around 79db) of course I was running and the machines make loud noises but I was sweating too much to care.

I do miss listening to my beyonce on my phone does anyone work out and have a set of headphones that they feel comfortable enough to wear.

Thanks!

I use Bose SoundSport in-ear headphones and they are great. Just keep the volume reasonable (i.e. below 60%).

I stopped using headphones too. The sounds from the machines and other people used to have me pump my music up more than what was safe. I use earplugs too since some people at the gym likes to drop things on the floor and clank stuff which makes me uncomfortable. Not saying that you should be using ear plugs but at least in my gym people seem to lack respect :D

Great to hear your getting out and about to the gym as its a great mood lifter.
We have an advantage then most people at the gym as we know how to protect our ears if needed.....lots of love glynis

Well I go to LA fitness and it's not that loud in there bc it's a very slow gym so not a lot of foot traffic! @glynis thanks I'm trying to get my old life back! @Fangen I didn't feel the need to wear plugs. But I brought them with me just in case @undecided I like her music bc it makes me run faster bc of her beat! :D

i go to the gym 2-3 times a week. i never wear ear plugs.

Yeah, depending on the time, i sometimes plug up too, just to be on the safe side. Especially when the only machine available is straight under one of those ceiling speakers

I workout almost everyday 50 minute weights and machines and generally 20 minutes on the treadmill. I do not where earplugs or play music through ear buds. The music piped through the building is within a safe threshold but I do stay away from the people who slam weights loudly. Working out gets rid of adreniline, stress, and promotes better sleep. Funny thing I seem to never hear my T when im at the gym but hear it over the TV and pretty much everything else.
