I went yesterday to a tinnitus support group at UCLA. I wanted to share the info I got.
The speaker was a fantastic hearing doctor from Beverly Hills that also has tinnitus. He had been on the journey of seeing every best doctor available and also being a doctor in hearing himself . . He went over EVERYTHING. He said supplements were bad and most didn't work. He said there was some new electro magnetic therapies that there were no studies to back it up. He said accupuncture is only helpful when there is anxiety etc. He got it about 20 years ago and the thing that helped him was TRT. He said that he hear it quite badly in the beginning and now only 4-5 days a year. He knows it's still there but the TRT saved him.

Did he say how he got it? Was it related to hearing loss? Is there any way you can ask him? I would be curious is all.

high pitched tinnitus is probably related to high pitch hearing loss.

typically above the functional hearing range.

when you have a deficit in a high frequency, you feel you don't have hearing loss because for the most part practical hearing is from the 50-9000 hz range.

it is absolutely related to hearing loss IMO

my tinnitus has gone down by 70% since my recovery. and it's only been 2 days.
