What Does This Mean: Tinnitus Going Silent for No More Than 10 Seconds on Multiple Occasions?

Basically I have roaring tinnitus in both ears stupidly gained one night when out with friends.

I allowed them to keep playing their music which was deafening to me.

This resulted in my tinnitus.

However on more than one occasion my tinnitus has gone almost completely silent for no more than 10 seconds. Why is this?

It probably means that you're just not noticing it at those times. These moments of silence are a good sign and generally become more frequent with time, but I can't promise!
