What Is Safe Volume for Earphones on Mobile Phone?

What ?

:dunno:

If you go beyond the 80 % warning, what do you think it means ?

You know that a 100% volume might reach 100dB or more ?

There is no standard safe volume (for me it is 0 %), we don't know what your ears can handle.

But 80 % or more is most likely dangerous for everyone.

keep the volumes low especially while wearing earbuds /earphones/headphones. I kinda wish someone told me this many years ago :)

I'm pretty sure You can buy headphones that are limited, they're children's ones but still work.

Anything over 70 decibels for a long period of time would probably be too much.
Directly In the ear, I wouldn't go over 60.

Keep it low and don't bother using earbuds in noisy environments. This is where I think most people get into trouble because you have to crank it up to higher levels just to be able to hear it.

That's where noise cancelling headphones can come in handy. With them you don't have to crank the volume so high to compete with the outside noise.

im so sad cos i like listening to music through my earphones! :(((((

so has anyone had their T worsen even while listening through earphone at volume level? let's say 70% volume at a regular iphone?

The only thing I used headphones for anymore is voice chat with friends on Xbox and computer.

And I turn their voice right down so I can just hear them.

I wouldn't advise 70% of any iPhone. As that is pretty loud.

I would leave it on as low as possible. Sound that close to the eardrum will have greater potency even if it is in a 'safe' decibel range. I am coming to that conclusion from past experiences.
Set it to the point where you can just make out most of the music, and only play it in a setting where the background noise is not overpowering (not around traffic, in cars, or on a subway).

I made my T worse when I listened to music on my headphones. I now have two new sounds in my T. If your music is at a volume where you can't hear people in a conversation than it's too loud.

T Update

I can't hear the T anymore even in silent room. I can only hear the T when my pillow covers my ears when I lay to the side during sleep, or when I cover it my hand. So my anxiety has went from 200% to 5%.

Also had pure tone audiometry and tympanometry, and the result was "normal" and 0% hearing loss.

Now my dillema is I really love to listen to youtube videos specially ASMR. Do you guys think it's ok if I use earphones with a low volume just to the point that I can understand the words?

Also I work in a call center. And people said using headphones will make the T worst. So should I quit my job?
