Noise exposure
I have had lots of minor spikes in the past but I'm talking about major spikes, like what I have had for 2 weeks now without settling down. Like when it seems to almost double in volume. Just wondering how long your major spikes have lasted as it feels like this one is here to stay but I'm really hoping not. My normal T is torturous enough thanks, without this added volume.

I started getting spikes in April after 3 years of stable T. I've had them since, I think I still get spikes but they have moved further back in my head in some way. Quieter but I know they are still spikes

Wow 3 months, 4 months. 2 weeks isn't that long then. It could be like this for a while longer then but at least there is still hope it may settle down. I've had T for over 5 years and although it has gone up and down a bit and got a lot louder in general, it's never spiked so noticeably like this before. Woke up one night about 3am and there it was. Pretty horrendous. It's another part of the wonderful T journey I guess. Back to no sleep, anxiety and feeling down. Just need to try to tough it out I guess.

I don't get spikes that last more than a few hours. When noise exposure causes problems that persist longer than that, they're permanent.

That said, muscle tension in my neck/jaw/back makes my T louder. So if I get lazy, then my T will increase until I get back into putting 20-30 mins a day into stretching, but that's not really a "spike".
