It has been a while now since I posted something and mainly because I have been busy trying to get rid of this T. I have been to 2 physiotherapists now and one of them is a specialist in nerves. She seems hopeful and yet not, so I don't quite know what she thinks of my chances. BUT she did do something yesterday when I came to see her for the third time. She ha been focused on my neck this whole time and I mentioned probably half of my jaw problems to her and she got to work.

It didn't really help until this one thing she did with the nerves on my jaw. I was on my side and she was defiantly pushing on something and almost total silence! only a low semi deep tone I'm my right ear. Since I have started at her practice I have developed T in my left ear too for the first time, but the right side is not as hight pitched any more.

As soon as she let go and I rolled back it was the same again and it made it even worse that I now remember silence a little more clearly, but I am glad it happened.

My only solution is that I have TMJD since my 2nd physiotherapist has been treating my jaw for a month now there is defiantly something wrong. So here is my question then. Should I go see a dentist? I have already been and they gave me a bite guard, but the were not that good either. Will the new dentist even could tell since the physiotherapist is making the misalignment better?

You need to see a TMJ Specialist, not an ordinary dentist. Many here have had splints made, but there doesn't seem to be a high percentage of people, who have gained relief from their T. You maybe a different case though and it wouldn't hurt seeing a specialist for advice. However, These specialists tend to be expensive.

A Maxillofacial specialist is the best person to see for TMJ treatment after a dentist made you a mouth guard...lots of love glynis

@Sailboardman I don't worry about the expense of a specialist since pracially every doctor here is free but is is the lavning about of specialists that worrys me. Do you know the bane of the specialist I should see?

@glynis what does that specialist do? Is it nerves they fix or more the jaw they focus on?

Will do a xray,do more tests, measure your jaw opening ,give you exercises and information sheet etc....lots of love glynis

They will check everything is in its right place etc and check for any problems .
I'm still under one.....lots of love glynis
