- Cause of Tinnitus
- Mom's =surgery (75 years) mine is intermittant
I get Tinnitus intermittently, but it all started with a car accident. My back and neck were effected and I noticed a ringing in my ears. I went to a CHIROPRACTOR who gave me a thorough exam, & took x-rays. The next day he sat me down and went over all his findings and explained it all to me. After that he adjusted the areas he found to be out of alignment. He did a lot of work on my neck and base of my skull. It was not a painful or uncomfortable treatment.
THE RINGING IN MY EARS STOPPED! I now get tinnitus from time to time usually after sleeping on a plane or sleeping funny or on my arm. Each time I do, I go to my CHIROPRACTOR who adjusts my upper neck and skull and IT GOES AWAY!! (it sometimes doesn't dissipate until 1 day later, sometimes gradually, other times immediately. I have ringing in my right ear now because I've been sick with a fever and sleeping a lot. My neck hurts and doesn't move the right way. As soon as I am better I will make an appointment with him and get CURED! It does not work for everybody, though. My mom has had tinnitus for 75 years following a surgery at 12 years old that left her deaf in 1 ear.She has taken on life with a positive outlook and has a long and rewarding life. (She goes to my chiropractor as well and although he did help her with her hip and back, it did not help her type of tinnitus.)
It was not expensive to get treated by my chiropractor. My first round was covered by car insurance since it was due to an accident. For my mom the initial exam and xray was a few hundred dollars then the office visits were only $35.00 if paid on the day of service. It is well worth a try. I hope this post helps someone else and offers hope.
