What would you have rather have gotten other than tinnitus or hyperacusis? I tell ya... I'm in a wheelchair and rely on just my arms to get around and would have rather broken an arm instead of getting this horse shit.

But breaking an arm is temporary. I think anyone would prefer a temporary condition to this. A more in line comparison would be permanently losing an arm.

Would you rather have lost both your arms permanently if that meant no tinnitus?

Hi @Dubbyaman,
I have breathing problems and tinnitus and Menieres with hearingloss but Im counting my blessing like yourself we don't have a choice but get the help available to us.... chin up :)
Love glynis

At least with cancers there is generally a well-worn pathway of care. Can't say the same for T & H.

@Dubbyaman Sorry to hear that you are wheelchair bound, man. Hope you are doing well.

Personally I would probably trade anything besides my eyesight & arms/hands to take away the ear problems.

Hyperacusis because it can be treated and in a lot of cases cured.

When I returned to work after my accident, my boss told me:

"I'm relieved, I thought you had cut off a finger or something."

My first thought was: "I'd rather have cut off a finger than this..."

Not sure if I'm right... but that was my thought.
