I was sitting in bed one morning just woke up, and my ear just went ,, EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ... and some more EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

So how about you guys?

After I was in my garden shed, 3am in the morning 25th August 2012, trying to find a fire alarm that had gone off randomly, I was standing in the shed, pitch black..couldn't see a thing...my eardrums were beating like two heartbeats each side of my head..it was so loud, in there for a minute..couldn't find it, went back in the house, woke my dad up telling him about the alarm going off...he told me to sort it out, went back down to the shed...stupidly shut the shed door while I was in it trying to find the alarm so it wouldn't disturb the neighbour's, in the shed for another minute with my eardrums beating again almost ready to explode, shed door opens with my dad standing there with a torch...finds it straight away in the packed shed full of tools on the floor! Stepping out of the shed...told my dad my ears felt full and could hear ringing in my ears....damn it! The reason I was so stupid was because I was drunk, would have never gone into that shed if I was sober, luckily it was only mild tinnitus, but 3 months ago I slammed shut a car bonnet/hood, ears went full again and my tinnitus has increased a lot, I can hear it most of the time now :( But i am slowly habituating to the new level.

On an airplane flight from France to the US. Had an undetected sinus infection. Had intense pain on descent. My ear drum didn't rupture but ears felt very full, and something that felt like fluid was sloshing inside my left ear. A couple weeks later, my ears started ringing and have not stopped since.

First noise started when I was recovering from the flu. After my fever went down I started having ear pain and fullness. Ringing followed shortly after.

Second noise started just over a month ago, out of nowhere. Quiet Thanksgiving weekend. The only thing I can even think of that could have pushed my hearing over the edge was the long commute to my Thanksgiving destination. Got stuck in traffic so the drive took nearly 10 hours. But I didn't notice the T until 5 days later, so...I feel it's unlikely. It's either that or my TMJ issues, which have been slowly worsening for the past 6 months.
