Where can you go in the city to get away from the annoyances of other people and their stupid noise?

The only thing I can think of is driving to the outskirts of the city, find a nook and hide in your car. However, this can be 50 kilometres away for many of us and not always practical.

Are there any alternatives?

Do you HAVE to live in the city ?

I left a big city center. I'm glad. I'm starting a life focused on nature and things that matter.

Wow. I have to say I'm very envious. I'm trying to figure out an income so that I can live away from the city. I totally agree. With my current job skill set I'm locked into working in the city. I'll figure out something.

Yes, that's the most difficult thing... I went for an online shop. I can operate it almost from any place. But it's not easy to launch and it takes time to make money.

You're in Australia... I'm envious ! There are so many quiet and beautiful places there. You'll figure out something.

I'm on the Atherton Tablelands these days. Was in Cairns until it turned into North Ipswich.

A Library or book store, or church. A park. Maybe a grave yard?

State libraries possibly. Local libraries, no way. They get used as free child minding centres for obnoxious parents.

But churches, I don't know much about them. Do they allow anyone off the street to just go in and have a peaceful sit-down without being bothered? Are there any protocols or considerations that need to be observed?
