Not sure,
I woke up with the tone pretty loud today, so I just started whistling Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star to cover it up, then all of a sudden the tone went from a 9 down to a 2, and it's still down there an hour later.

Has anyone done anything like that?

When mine would spike it would feel like my ears would fill with mucus or something, but I would take a saline mist spray and irrigate my nose and 5/6 times it would drop the volume, I'm not sure if it was the sound of mist spraying that would do it or the irrigation.

Once I rubbed my outer ear with my palm to mask the sound and it felt like it dropped the volume a notch as well, temporarily. It might be a perception thing I'm not sure.

I guess you just have to keep whistling your way through life.
Hopefully you can vary up the songs a bit - TTLS might get a bit repetitive after a while. ;)
