I read story after story about how energy healers, osteopaths, homeopaths, etc. have helped people with diseases and conditions that weren't cured by "modern medicine". Yet the medicine world refuses to acknowledge how effective it is. People should be more aware of their options when it comes to treatments and therapies. The treatments don't end with specialists.

I am seeing an alternative medicine doctor in Thursday and am positive she will figure out where the root of my tinnitus problem is and why I have been having ear problems for years now.

The fact that my specialist tells me "there's nothing else we can do for you, just 'stay positive'" is pathetic.

And yes, I know that if they can't sell you the cure, they surely aren't gonna recommend the local energy healer who has a great reputation for helping people. Which sucks big time.

You have options people, really. There's always something you can try. :)

If anyone believes energy healers, osteopaths or homeopaths will cure or treat anything, they really do need the help of modern medicine, more specifically, the help of psychiatry.

It's similar to how someone can believe in God - all faith-based, and with alternative medicine, additionally placebo.

Truth hurts.
