On the RNID website a while ago there was the story of a group of Drs who went on a seminar ,during that seminar they were asked to where headphones that mimicked Tinnitus sounds and to wear them for as long as you could during the meeting. 7 minutes was when the LAST Dr took his headphones off,............ 7 minutes

@jeannie, where did you hear Neurontin was ototoxic? Looking at the FDA statistics that compile adverse reaction reports by patients, about .01 percent of 56,000-plus patients reported an ototoxic side effect. That's about the same as just about any drug. Seems like you shouldn't let your fears about ototoxicity outweigh the benefits that Neurontin might give you, if taken in the proper dose. About 900 mg daily sounds like the common dose for your condition.

But that, of course, is your decision.

i have read it on this forum on page 1 ..... yes i know LadyDi that all meds seem to be ototoxic , so im going to keep trying them as long as i dont have adverse reaction to it.. thanks!!
