Hey guys I have the need to get this off my chest.i am really struggling at the moment somedays are better than others but lately it seems to have got louder.i sometimes feel although I can take much more but I still have a whole life to live I feel frustrated angry and upset the daily struggle at work having to wear hearing protection feels humiliating and I have had enough ;( boo hoooo!

I'm sorry you are having such a difficult time! It is definitely a hard adjustment at first for many people.

Are you struggling with both tinnitus and hyperacusis? What measures have you taken to help yourself thus far? Just looking to see what type of suggestions we can all make! And remember-- it gets better. Like you said, some days are better than others, but it will be okay. :)

The best advice I can give you is to do everything you can to keep calm and relaxed. Mood affects T and paying attention to it will only make it worse. As for how you keep calm, that's up to you, though I find that chewing bubblegum helps.

Josh check letter to a tinnitus sufferer. You can Google it, dr.nagler wrote it and it's a great place to start. It's ok to feel bad about t and I would say most of us have been where you are. And it can get better buddy

Josh, time can be a great healer especially you have the right approach. Cullen is right to point you to Dr. Nagler's Letter to a Tinnitus Sufferer. It points you to the right direction. What sort of treatments have you received? Do you have masking? What did the doctors say about your ears? If you can reveal more about your condition, members here can probably give you more definitive answers or suggestions. Take care and hang in there.

Thanks for the advice guys I have been to an e.n.t and they basically said I have to deal with it which had a big impact on as I thought I would go and get rid of it!.i will defiantly check out a letter to a tinnitus sufferer and I will write back about what I think thanks guys !
